Here are some Frequently Asked Questions about the abstract submission process. If you have additional questions, please email abstracts@casch.ca.
1) How do I submit an Abstract?
Please fill out the Abstract Submission Form under the MORE > ABSTRACTS > SUBMIT AN ABSTRACT heading on the CASCH website. Submissions for CASCH 2018 closes on Saturday,June 30th at 11:59 PM (MST).
Make sure you fill in all of the sections. Abstracts should be a maximum of 350 words and written for a lay-educated audience. Abstracts should include the following sections: background, objective(s), methods, results, conclusions. Do not include references in your abstract.
2) Is there a different process for research in progress abstracts?
Please fill in the same sections for a research in progress abstract. Under the "results" section, you can list anticipated results or the anticipated impact of the project.
3) When is the Abstract Submission Deadline?
Saturday, June 30th, 2018 at 11:59 PM (MST).
4) Will abstracts be accepted if I submit after the deadline?
The deadline may be extended, however, this has never happened in past years. Please make sure you submit before the June 30th, 2018 deadline to ensure that your abstract is considered.
5) Can I submit more than one abstract?
Yes. A maximum of one oral presentation AND one poster will be offered to each presenting author.
6) Do I need to include references in my abstract?
No. You do not need to include references. If you choose to include references, they do not count towards the 350 word limit.
7) When will I be notified if my abstract is accepted/not accepted?
Notifications of decisions will be made in early July 2018.
8) Can I make changes to my abstract after it has been submitted?
No. Please be sure you submit your best, and most up-to-date work. If your abstract is accepted, you will be allowed to make minor modifications to the published version closer to the conference date (see below).
9) Will revisions to accepted abstracts be allowed?
Minor revisions will be consider for accepted abstracts. This is to allow authors to update sections due to newly available results. However, major changes to the abstract regarding the objective of the study or methods will not be accepted. Abstract wording will be finalized on Monday August 7, 2018.
